The religion and the cultural identity that characterize Bali are unique in the Indonesian Archipelago. Thanks to their complex rituals, languages, as well as their system of castes, the Balinese have, to their credit, preserved their traditions in spite of the growing tourist industry.

Fact At A Glance,
Bali is one of over 13,600 island that make up the Republic of Indonesia. A volcanic chain of mountains runs across the north, with deep ravines and rivers. In the mountains, vegetable terraces flourish. Bellow 700 meters, vivid green rice fields sparkling with water are exquisitely carved out of hills and valleys.

Religion,
Almost 90% of Bali's population practices a unique from of Hinduism with Christians, Buddhists and Muslims making up the remaining 10%. Bali's Hinduism dates back 3000 years and is an interpretation of religious ideas of China, India and Java. The Balinese have strong animist belief; their everyday lives are filled with giving beautiful offerings to appease the many deities. Every village has several temples and numerous colorful temple festival take places throughout the year.

Language,
The official language is Bahasa Indonesia which is similar to Malay, but the Balinese have their own language, Balinese. English is widely understood in tourist area.Climate,
Bali is tropical thus hot and humid all year with average daily temperature of 30°C in the coastal areas and 23°C in the hills. The rainy season is from October to March and the lowest humidity is around 60% from July to September.

What To Wear
Light, cotton and casual is the norm. When visiting temples mini skirt, shorts and revealing tops are frowned upon - you can hire cover up sarong at most temples. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all tours and a light sweater for tour to the mountains area.


Visitors Conditions
Passports must be valid for at least six months. Visas are not required for nationals of the ASEAN countries, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Eigypt, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Iceland Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, The Maldives, Malta, Marocco, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, The Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, USA, Venezuela, Yugoslavia. The Government of Indonesia also applies special visa conditions on nationals of Portugal, Israel and Ivory Cost. For other nationalities, please check with your nearest Indonesian Embassy.

Importation / Re-Exportation Of Goods
If during the program requires that the clients want to bring items to Indonesia for their event either hand carried or shipped, Dimensions in Bali could provide assistance in organizing the importation and re-exportation of the goods to Bali. As this could be passing long procedures, we need to be informed of the details; the goods, name, quantity, weight, value with the purpose in bringing the goods at least two months prior to the event.
